​GPS Field Collector - Electric Utility

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated GPS Field Collector to support our electric utility clients in gathering critical geospatial data. As a GPS Field Collector, you will play a vital role in enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of our clients' infrastructure mapping and asset management processes through meticulous field data collection.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct GPS field data collection activities to capture accurate       geographic coordinates of utility assets such as poles,     transformers, and equipment.
- Utilize specialized GPS equipment and software to ensure precise   data collection and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with utility personnel and project managers to plan   and execute field data collection schedules effectively.
- Verify and validate collected data to maintain high quality and   reliability in GIS (Geographic Information System) databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GPS   equipment and data collection processes in the field.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements while   performing field operations.
- Document field observations, data collection procedures, and   project progress reports for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of collected data and contribute to the   continuous improvement of data management practices.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in GPS field data collection, preferably within   the electric utility or related industry.
- Proficiency in operating GPS equipment and GIS software   applications.
- Strong understanding of spatial data concepts and geospatial   data collection methodologies.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments and   effectively manage field work activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with   diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and field   conditions.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project   sites as needed.
- United States Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in GIS, geomatics, or related field.
- Familiarity with electric utility infrastructure and asset   management practices.
- Experience with Trimble or similar GPS equipment and software.

Utility GIS Specialist –
​     Fiber/Telcom & Electric

Utility GIS Specialist – Fiber/Telcom & Electric
Position: Full Time
Location: Office/Remote
Positions Available: 2

Looking for:
An exceptional candidate would become a champion of our newly developed Telcom/Fiber software solution. Our new product works on ArcPro and uses the ESRI Communications Utility Network Foundation (CUNF). The preferred candidate would have experience in GIS and knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) and be ready to support new and existing customers and team members with training and deployment. Experience in OSP and knowledge of GIS is also acceptable.

Job Role:
  • Analyze Fiber Management customer’s needs and assist in building project plans
  • Assist in the development of code to enhance the customer’s usage of mPower software and Esri software
  • Provide training on all the mPower software and Esri Products
  • Serve as a Fiber/Telcom Project or Division Leader
  • Update and maintain a project implementation plan
  • Manage time and tasks to maintain project budget
  • Understand Fiber Management/GIS industry trends and best practices

Experience:
  • Working experience using Esri Enterprise products
  • Experience installing and configuring Esri Server, Portal, and ArcPro
  • Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge or fiber design and the workflow process
  • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple assignments
  • Advanced usage of mapping software for fiber layout, staking and base mapping (Fiber software, ESRI etc.)
  • Teaching experience with Esri ArcPro and migration from ArcMap a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • MSSQL experience, programming and migration a plus.
  • Ability to travel a must

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
